Preparing The Body Cast
You can see here one of the drawbacks to using the plastic wrap. It will leave a textured inner surface which we will have to refinish. If you look close you can even see a small piece of the plastic trapped in the plaster.
Start by mixing a small amount of plaster in a cup. (you will want to make the consistency a bit more runny than before) Using a small 1 inch brush begin to apply the plaster.
When applying the plaster start at the top edges and work your way down. Be sure not to let the plaster puddle or drip, as this will leave dimples or depressions in the fiberglass later.
As the plaster in the cup begins to thicken up, you can use it to repair or patch any of the larger problem areas. (usually around the armpits and groin area) You will need to mix more than one batch of plaster for this so be sure to have an additional cup of water nearby to wash off your brush before it stiffens up. If your careful you can do the whole cast with one brush.
Here you can see the finished surface. (compare to the same view in image 1)
Here is a shot of the completed front half.
