MAKING FIBERGLASS POSITIVES
This method will follow similar steps to the pervious Fiber Glassing of the Body Cast.
First,.. just as with the Body Cast, I will prepare in advance. You will need the exact materials needed for the Body Cast section. Get all of your fiberglass Cloth and mat cut. (the smaller the section of armor the smaller you will want to cut your pieces of cloth and mat so that they will easily fit) Also note that I am again outside, fiberglass puts off some horrible fumes, try not to breathe them.
Next apply a even coat of Vaseline over the entire surface of the mold. (be sure not to miss any spots)
Just as in earlier steps, mix up a batch of the Resin and saturate the first piece of cloth. Be sure to look for bubbles that may become trapped beneath the fiberglass layers. Also pay close attention to how the fiberglass lays into the depressions in the mold. (due to the details in the face of the molds this will be more of a challenge to fiberglass than the smooth even surfaces of the Body Cast)
Here I have completed the first layer of fiberglass cloth and will now proceed to lay on a layer of Mat. Again with the mat also be sure that it lays flat against the cloth without any bubbles.
I used 1 layer of cloth followed by 1 layer of mat, which will make for a thick sturdy piece of armor. Other sections may not require as thick of an application.
